The first batch of our most requested recipes. Recipes for Moose, Goose and Things that Swim introduce this comprehensive collection of outrageously good recipes for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Splendid food photos are backed up with northern landscape photos. Includes 12 true stories of northern adventure!

To You Our Enthusiasts

We have not written this cookbook only for the pleasure of those who have experienced the camps. Good cooking is to be appreciated by all who desire it. Many of the recipes can be adapted to use your own local berries and meats, and we encourage you to experiment, as we have. Nor are the recipes restricted to “game food”. They encompass all that we cook and serve, and you can be sure that they have been well tested by some of the world’s best critics – those who have paid for the privilege. If they think we should write them all down, who are we to argue?

This is our offering to you, with love

Just ordered my third copy. Had the pleasure of working with Marie up north in my early teaching years. Loved it then. Love it now. Bought the latest copy for my 21 year old son.

Fabulous cookbook! Purchased it the late 1990’s and use it to this day! My Thanksgiving turkey’s from bird to gravy, stuffing and soup are a success every time! Especially my first time;)! Many other favourite recipes too!!
